Accounting & bookkeeping

Accounting and bookkeeping services

Accurate books, kept current through the year — maintained in-house with our review, or outsourced to us entirely.

Accounting is where every other compliance obligation begins. If the books are late or unreliable, GST returns get filed on estimates, tax positions are decided in a rush, and the audit becomes an exercise in reconstruction. We treat bookkeeping as an operating discipline rather than a year-end task.

Depending on what suits your business, we can maintain the books entirely, work alongside your accountant with periodic review and correction, or set up the system and processes so your team can run it day to day. Work is done on cloud accounting platforms — commonly Zoho Books — so you retain full access to your own data at all times.

Every engagement includes a documented month-end routine: reconciliations completed, ledgers reviewed, open items listed and a management report issued. You should not have to ask where the numbers stand.

What you receive

  • Books maintained to an agreed monthly calendar
  • Completed reconciliations with open-item lists

How we work

Working with us on this

How an engagement runs at Vanesh Nadar & Co. Four stages: review of the current position, a written scope and fee, execution to an agreed calendar, then review to stop problems recurring. STEP 1 Review We look at your records, filings, registrations and any open notices, and tell you plainly where things stand. STEP 2 Scope & fees A written scope: deliverables, timelines, what we need from you and the fee — agreed before any work starts. STEP 3 Execute Work carried out to an agreed calendar, with a named point of contact and documented handovers. STEP 4 Review & improve Recurring issues are traced back to the process that caused them, so the same problem does not return next quarter.

Every engagement runs through the same four stages. Nothing begins until the scope and the fee are agreed in writing, and the fourth stage exists so that a problem found this quarter does not simply reappear in the next one.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can accounting be fully outsourced?

Yes. Many businesses hand over the entire function — recording, reconciliation, payables, receivables, month-end close and reporting — while retaining approval authority for payments. You keep ownership of the data and access to the system; we run the work and review it.

Do we have to move to new accounting software?

Not necessarily. We can work on your existing system. That said, if the current setup is the reason records are perpetually behind, we will say so and propose a migration — usually to Zoho Books — with the effort and disruption spelled out beforehand.

How quickly can books that are months behind be brought current?

It depends on transaction volume and how complete the source documents are. After a short review we give an estimate of effort and a target date for catch-up, and then run current-period accounting in parallel so you do not fall further behind while the backlog is cleared.

Will you also handle our GST and tax filings?

Yes, that is usually the sensible arrangement — the same team that maintains the books prepares the returns. See GST services and taxation.
