Payroll & MIS

Payroll and MIS reporting

Salaries processed accurately and confidentially, and management reports that arrive early enough to be useful.

Payroll is the one process where errors are noticed immediately and remembered for a long time. It also carries statutory deduction obligations that attract interest and penalties when missed. We run it to a fixed monthly calendar with a review step before disbursement.

MIS reporting is the other half of this page for a reason: both are about getting reliable information to the right people on time. A management pack delivered on the twenty-fifth is a history lesson. We design the pack around the decisions you take, and then work backwards to the close timetable that makes it possible.

How we work

Working with us on this

How an engagement runs at Vanesh Nadar & Co. Four stages: review of the current position, a written scope and fee, execution to an agreed calendar, then review to stop problems recurring. STEP 1 Review We look at your records, filings, registrations and any open notices, and tell you plainly where things stand. STEP 2 Scope & fees A written scope: deliverables, timelines, what we need from you and the fee — agreed before any work starts. STEP 3 Execute Work carried out to an agreed calendar, with a named point of contact and documented handovers. STEP 4 Review & improve Recurring issues are traced back to the process that caused them, so the same problem does not return next quarter.

Every engagement runs through the same four stages. Nothing begins until the scope and the fee are agreed in writing, and the fourth stage exists so that a problem found this quarter does not simply reappear in the next one.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is payroll data kept confidential?

Yes. Payroll is handled by a restricted team, salary information is not circulated beyond the people you authorise, and payslips are distributed individually. Access arrangements are agreed in the engagement letter.

What belongs in a monthly MIS?

At minimum: profit and loss against budget, cash position and expected movement, receivable and payable ageing, and a short commentary on what changed. Beyond that it depends on the business — the test is whether each report would change a decision.

How soon after month end can the pack be delivered?

That depends on how quickly source data arrives. With disciplined cut-off and bank reconciliation, a pack in the first week of the following month is a realistic target for most small and mid-sized businesses.

Can payroll be run alongside our existing HR software?

Usually yes. We work from your attendance and leave data, and where useful our technology team can build a small integration so inputs flow across instead of being re-keyed.
