Web development

Web development

Websites and web applications built to a documented requirement — from a company site to an internal system your team lives in.

Web work covers a wide range, from a business website that has to load fast and be found in search, to an internal application replacing a spreadsheet that three people email around. We treat both seriously, because both fail in the same way: unclear requirements and no owner.

For business websites we care about speed, structure, accessibility and search visibility — the things that determine whether the site does any work for you. For web applications we care about the data model, permissions and the workflow, because those are what become expensive to change later.

Where the application touches accounting data, the specification is written by people who understand what those numbers mean.

How we work

Working with us on this

How an engagement runs at Vanesh Nadar & Co. Four stages: review of the current position, a written scope and fee, execution to an agreed calendar, then review to stop problems recurring. STEP 1 Review We look at your records, filings, registrations and any open notices, and tell you plainly where things stand. STEP 2 Scope & fees A written scope: deliverables, timelines, what we need from you and the fee — agreed before any work starts. STEP 3 Execute Work carried out to an agreed calendar, with a named point of contact and documented handovers. STEP 4 Review & improve Recurring issues are traced back to the process that caused them, so the same problem does not return next quarter.

Every engagement runs through the same four stages. Nothing begins until the scope and the fee are agreed in writing, and the fourth stage exists so that a problem found this quarter does not simply reappear in the next one.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can you build a website as well as a web application?

Yes. They are different projects with different priorities — a marketing site is judged on speed, clarity and search visibility, an application on workflow and data integrity — and we scope them separately even when both are needed.

Will we be able to update content ourselves?

Where that matters, we build with a content management approach so your team can edit text, pages and images without developer involvement. Where a site rarely changes, a simpler and faster build is often the better trade-off. We will discuss which suits you.

Can it connect to our accounting system?

Typically yes, where the accounting platform provides an interface for it. Integration scope, including what syncs, in which direction and how often, is defined during requirements.

What about hosting and ongoing maintenance?

We can deploy to your infrastructure or arrange hosting, and we quote maintenance separately — covering updates, backups, monitoring and a defined response arrangement for issues.
